UPDATE on cd key missing

I recently had to reset my pc and reinstalled all apps after. Also this game...

IT WORKS!!

Already played first 3 missions and no error happened! I believe devs jumped back in here to remove errors regarding cd key missing or whatever.

My first play on this game was about 15 years ago, now that the cd was worn i bought it on steam just in case if wanted to get all nostalgic and stuff.

Not sure why that has happened to you, because i installed my game without any problems, there was no request error.

I uninstalled and installed few min ago, no error! what's going on?
Its best to get this game on Amazon or other site, got my cd yesterday by mail, was quite cheap.

I have this game settlers , heritage of Kings I try to go to play but it just returns me to the play icon after going black it does'nt want to open I guess ! Anyone know why and how i can get to play this game it just went dead and I cant play it I bought it from steam but steam just don't answer about this game ??? I tried ubisoft & they ask me for game key that I don't have & steam says they don't give game keys ! But before , I played 69.9 hours of this game registered on steam now I get ziltch , cant open cant play cant get updates cant get support from either side steam or ubisoft !!!???

I am having the exact same issue as imthejack.
There is no other program active on my laptop. It's still a very new laptop and when I try to start the game I get the screen with the code I need, but then nothing happens and the play button turns green again. The game is not started. So I can't play it.
