Why is deca move not workling on this ?
I'm with you, controller oriented movement is unnatural. As long as the game has dual analog free locomotion without hand oriented changes to movement I'm happy.

Personally I like head oriented, since you can wagle both hands while moving.
I'm tired of proving to developers every time that this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ...
Question : How to get smooth turn instead of snap turn ?
I raised this topic not because of my preference, but because I and many other just cannot play with head oriented movement.
Head oriented movement makes me sick.
That playing style must remain, but games that can played with diferent styles are nice, it add a lot replayability.
BTW, does the game have smooth turn ?
Remember that this is the FIRST EARLY ACCESS release, the game can have certain limitations, is not a full game yet.
It will come for sure, I also play with controller oriented but so far I'm still having a blast this way.
Seriously great gameplay mechanics.
I understand the devs concerns about melee combat but Skyrim VR had controller oriented right from the beginning as an option and even w/o the motion sickness factor (which is a big factor for many of us as explained) its IMO easier to deal with the tracking issues of controller oriented locomotion with melee combat than it is with dealing with the surreal feeling of walking where your head is moving unless you constantly correct with the thumbstick. In the end that is something the users need to decide for themselves so both locomotion types should absolutely be standard in games.
That all being said, for anybody like me who hates head locomotion getting a Deca Move or similiar seems like a good option (devs, make sure the game works with that). It uses head locomotion as a base but is then using an external tracker (they even have a free smartphone app but you run into issues if your smartphone isn't near absolutely still in your pocket or doesn't has the best gyro tracking) to provide truly hip oriented locomotion, giving you the best of both worlds w/o the issues of any of them.
