slight spoiler: in the slime bank you can later get upgrades to increase your chance to capture monster at full health and to the general capture chance. (i dont know the in and outs of capture, but the existence of both upgrades lets me deduct that its like pokemon: higher chance when the mob is damaged)
Normal monster - 10% chance at 100%, increases with some scaling when health drops below 75% max HP.
Boss monster - 0% chance at 100%, 5% chance at below 5% max HP.
Upgrades:
1. +1% for normal monsters, starts at 100% HP, +0.5% for bosses, starts at below 5% max HP.
2. +2% for normal monsters and +1% for bosses only at 100% HP.
100 traps for 1 success must have been boss monster before reducing its hp to 5% and it finally triggered when it became below 5%. Otherwise seems really unlucky if it was normal monster with 10% chance.
There is a bonus from one Slime Bank upgrade that gives you a 1% bonus to worker speed per 100 captured monsters per a level of the upgrade.
Drop rate is another decent one. Through auto-capturing from reincarnation I have 100% drop rate bonus from a few kinds of slime.
Then free loot, not the biggest bonus but it's there.
Personally haven't manually captured much except for missions except for early on for that bank upgrade.
autocapturing from reincarnation, what is this, and how/when do you get that?
Manually capturing is better for quests or for quickly raising the total captures but the reincarnation skill is great for people like me who leave the game running all night to get quite a few free captures from whatever I'm farming.
IE: Catch 10 get a 10% drop chance bonus - is that chance increase to get 'a' drop (relative spread)?
Catch 100 and the chance for all drops effectively doubles?
Is there a formula for capture loot speed based on captures?
