UNPLAYABLE WITH CONTROLLER

I use a Xbox Series controller and the game won't recognize it, why??????????????
The controller works with every single game, I don't understand why this doesn't works.
I've even tried crappy 3rd party software and none of them work.
The game says FULLY PLAYABLE WITH A CONTROLLER but I can't do ♥♥♥♥!

Other weird thing is that when I try to use a keyboard I can't open the Steam menu overlay, it just doesn't work, also screenshots with F12 don't work either.

I think the game has a problem where it sometimes doesn't focus the window correctly, causing some inputs to not work properly.

To fix it it should suffice to unfocus the window (e.g. by alt+tab into another window) and then refocusing it again.

I actually thought of that, because when you launch the game it opens in a little window for a couple of seconds before going full screen, but I tried what u said and doesn't work so that probably isn't the problem, also in that case one wouldn't even be able to use the keyboard to skip the intros and move in the main menu, but I can 😓

I have experienced no problems with my Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.

it's originally a Playstation exclusive, maybe that's why the Xbox controller doesn't work

my wireless xbox controller works with no problems but i play in window mode

actually, i'm playing the game with 2 controllers (Nintendo Switch Pro controller and Xbox One controller) and didn't had any problem with the game, had you checked your controller's microusb?
