But i'm not sure if it works properly.
The Unity Logo on the Intro is replaced by your version, yes.
But i don't think i see any changes in-game. Your comparing screenshots look really crisp, while on my end it's not.
Am i overlooking some settings i need to change? A config file or something?
So i'd guess i have to force it externally somehow?
You can try without the mod that high of a resolution, and then use the mod to see a difference. Otherwise you'll be comparing 1080p res without mod against 4k res with mod (weird that with 1080p you didn't see any difference, normally you should see a difference, doesn't matter what res you're using, something would be different)
No 4k for me then. Gonna stick to reshade sharpening
Also the geforce experience image scaling is basically a cheap dlss, it's for downscaling.
It's supposed to be right beneath Cuda GPU, yet there's nothing.

Higher resolution textures simply contain more information the GPU can use to decide pixel colors.
Not only are textures split into different segments via UV maps, meaning that individual parts have much lower resolution textures than the whole thing, but perspective also plays a major role.
If a plane is so big that you can only see 10% of it then you'll need a much bigger texture than 4096x4096 to not have any texture interpolation happening.
(For 2D games or just 2D textures in 2d/3d games you won't see an improvement when going higher res with upscaling over your native, basically all the pictures will remain as what their texture resolution is.
Though 3d stuff, will get much better just by upscaling your res up, no need to even use a mod.)
That's the only scenario where I can see higher res textures not improving anything.
I've seen that happen with videos, when I had a 19" monitor with 900p res (16:10), 720p and 1080p (or above) videos had no difference for me then, visually identical, after getting a 27" monitor I switched to 1080p, and that even isn't enough for that monitor, but performance wise I'll never go above it in terms of native resolution, though I might use upscaling if the game has really bad aliasing and there is room in terms of performance.
See ya mr. know-it-all
They don't have DSR in the control panel, it's in the same spot in german. Maybe their GPU or driver doesn't support it?
