Question about difficulty options
I don't have the game yet, but i've seen there are difficulty options (i don't know why, but there are...) so, i wanted to because it doesn't seem like it's been asked before: If i'm accustomed to DW1 pretty heavily (back in the day i would play it all the time on the original PS, but massively disliked the more traditional rpg shift to took on the sequels so i'm not familiar with those) which difficulty would give the better experience?

As far as i understand the "normal" in this game is actually "hard" or something like that and all it does it cutting your stat gains, which is a pretty lazy thing to do if it's the case.

normal is normal and easy is easy.
hard is an unlockable difficulty after you neat the gameand for this release they have added a beginner difficulty.

As far as i know there isn't much of a difference between easy and normal cept for normal having a bit more of a grind.

Got it. Thanks. Reading the info online about it can be somewhat confusing at times.

The difficulties only make the fights harder. Sadly there's no real mechanics introduced with hard mode.
Enemies just have higher stats. so you'll need to be careful once you get to the enemies that you know are dangerous.

For your overall experience i'd say just play normal.

I, myself only played hard after unlocking it (have to unlock it on PC, still 1st playthrough).
It's the perfect choice for me, as i love shutting my brain off to mindlessly grind.

Also, the game is too easy for me at this point...
I'd love the modding community to give me a hardcore mod to make it more fun

... well the two people who tried to answer, answered wrong or vaguely.....

The difficulty stages don't effect enemy stats AT ALL. They only effect how much stats your digimon earn, bits you get, base lifespan, and item drop rates. Everything else is the exact same.

I get 260 / 26 stats after a fight on both normal and hard. Not sure where that myth of less stat gain comes from.

From internet search i found:
Normal : just normal no modifiers.
Easy : increase stats gain from training, increase bits and tamer exp gain from battle.
Hard : decrease bits and tamer exp gain from battle, few people also said the enemy become stronger? But idk havent tested it and have no plan to test it.
Beginner : same as easy but enemy level reduced, for example goblinmon and numemon in vast plateu become lv1 intead of 2.

You're actually wrong since beginner amd hard both effect enemy stats and levels.

Unless that changed in this version compared to the original release, it's been well documented that the enemy stats do not change.

That's how it was on the original release. It's not a myth. You can do any search on any thread from the original release and see this. It could be a change they did to this release.

If it's a change in the port, then i'll take it back for that portion.
But people have been claiming the same nonsense years back on the ps4 version, that's why i was a little irritated when i see it being claimed yet again.
