Another place which comes to mind is the Logic Vulcano, fighting against Birdramons/BomberNanimons/Meteormons.
Or you can look for the "huge" Digimon and see what stats they give. Numemon/Nigh Plains, Botamon/Cape Mod (after Mod Ship 3.0 and the cabin, just avoid the Taomon in the cabin) or Nanimon/Server Desert. It seems there's no restriction for how many times per day they can spawn, if they are not there, just switch the screen repeatedly.
Just my suggestions, I'm not a pro in this game, just playing it for the third time :)
For the Machinedramon itself, there might be another option. If you can raise the bond and digi-friend very high (don't know the exact value to make it happen), you can try to let them die in the fight and with a certain chance an ExE will happen, if you didn't use it already on that day.
Would like to help you more, but this is everything I can tell you :(
First off all, for ExE you need at least one partner at mega and the other at ultimate or mega, so this wouldn't work on his current setup with 2 Taomons.
Secondly, DigiFriend doesn't matter for ExE. You need 100 Bond to each partner to manually command ExE in battle.
Lastly, trigerring ExE by losing a battle can occur without 100 Bond and has no limit as to how often it can happen a day. (Not sure if higher bond values give you higher chances, but i think they don't.)
On Normal Mode, with 1k stats overall you should have no problem with the Machinedramon fight. With the order point bug you can easily cheese any hard fight way earlier than on the original ps4 version.
Have you unlocked defense order? When you see Machinedramon prepare "Gigawatt Laser" Command both your partners to defend, or that laser can wipe you instantly.
I suggest if you don't have it yet to get defence order. it unlocks the command to make your digimon take on a defense posture and it reduces the damage they would have taken.
in the fight try to get your OP to 150 so you can spam their ultimate moves and defend when the boss even looks like he's about to attack.
Heal when necessary and you should be able to win.
That's how i managed to get through that fight.
I recommend looking for resources while you travel around cause you will need them to upgrade the town facilities.
