Hidden features in this port
I'm playing hard.

I have noticed some improvements in the game, which may just be my perception, but I think they have been carried out.

- For example, I think digimons gain OP faster. Previously, OP was gained after attacking or taking damage and giving support in a coordinated manner. This is still the case, but once you get it for the first time, the OP bonus is maintained throughout the battle and generally, in both digimons even if you have only given coordinated support in one.

- Second, you level up a trainer faster. This occurs due to the new sprint feature. By running faster, you cover more distance, and the Tamer Digimon gains experience for each step it takes: therefore, the more distance you cover, the more experience you gain. By running with the sprint feature, you cover more distance in the same amount of time playing.

- Digimon live longer. Digimons had never lived so long, without any tamer skill to extend their life. I remember that, even reaching the mega level, my digimon were no more than 15 years old. Now they are lasting several more years, up to 17 or 18 (maybe more) and I insist, I have no ability to extend their life. I just take good care of them and have no faults.

Has anyone else noticed these improvements or any others?

Digimon live longer are false. Even in the original, the max lifespan (without any tamer skill) are 20 too. Unless if you are playing on Hard, then its 15. Nothing changed in their lifespan.

For gaining OP faster im not sure in the past, but as far i see in here, as long the Digimon attack connected to the enemy, you get the Bonus. If the attack missed, you only get a few point. Its not maintained throughout the battle.

Actual hard which unlocks after completing the game or normal which is the hardest one available from the beginning. I didn't play the previous versions of the game but when I was googling some questions about it I've seen a mention of only three difficulties - Easy, Normal and Hard which means that maybe they were renamed in this version. I didn't see any info about any difficulty unlocks in previous version of the game.

Not sure what you mean by coordinated support. I farmed some Meteormon and I had 6 OP if I collect it before attacking, 6 OP if main's attack hits while second one defends, and 36 OP if both attack automatically. These gains change further in the battle to 22 and other values depending on what I do so it is not kept through the whole battle but depends on what you do.

If I understand correctly this broke some areas. They added extra speed to main character but didn't change speed of enemy digimons so you can just run past all of them in some areas when you are not supposed to.

These values depend on difficulty so make sure you compare the same difficulties. If they were really renamed as I mentioned in the very beginning this may cause a confusion.

I am playing the hardest difficulty avaiable. In this port it is named "normal"... I really dont know if in this port you can unlock a new difficulty after beating the game, which would be the real hard mode. If the normal mode is not the hardest mode, then is ok that my digimon can live up to 20 years.

Outrunning your enemy digimons is an amazing secret improvement.

Regarding the OP gain, I mean that, most of the time, I gain 36 OP after a successful attack on both digimons and as many times as I want during the fight, every time the order cooldown ends (about 10 seconds). Thus, in about 50 seconds, I can gain 150 OP and while I can just defend myself with my digimon. As soon as the defense is over, give the order, +36 OP, wait 10 seconds again, defend yourself again and repeat the process... you don't need to make a successful attack again, just the first time for the entire combat . And the effect is for the two digimons. It's hard to explain, but someone else must have noticed. In the ps4 version, it cost me a lot more to win OP, and I can assure you since I played it 2 months ago.

Just started playing. Without the intention to brag, i'm a veteran on the ps4 version and know the game as good as the back of my hand at this point.

There's alot of things that are bugged or have been changed intentionally. (I hope they're bugs that will be fixed, as of right now i can't enjoy the game that much)

1st:
The OP gain is busted. Normally the timing is very strict, 1 second off, and you gain nothing (the standard 5/6 points).
In this port the timing is so generous that theres no need to time anything at all. Wait 10 seconds after you've landed a hit and you still get a ♥♥♥♥ ton of OP.

2nd:
Item pickups have a crazy delay. On the ps4 you pick them up close to instantly.
Now you have to wait like 2 seconds each time you want to pick something up which wastes a lot of time. Also, material pickups are slower, too.

3rd:
On a positive note: Loading screens are pretty much instant thanks to PC being faster than console, toilets in the overworld don't have the short delay (where your partners run around the stall for a few seconds before the shutter comes down), and the training roulette also has no delay anymore, which somewhat sucks for me, as muscle memory always hits too early now. xD

I really hope these things will get fixed or modders take care of it.
Especially the modding scene is what i'm interested in. Hopefully we'll get tons of quality mods to make the game more enjoyable than before
