Awful Game
So I just reached 200 prosperity and beat game/post game and found out that after all that it doesn't unlock more digimon / prosperity beyond 200. Also, found out that it doesn't unlock a new set of achievements for steam. What a waste of money. Also, it won't refund me :(

Your fault for playing it beyond 2 hours. And you beat the game so obviously you enjoyed it. No one that finishes a game would say it’s sucks unless they are trolling cos it takes a level of enjoyment to finish a game

If that's gonna be the case then the most capable players to criticize something (because they've gone deep through it), suddenly aren't allowed because they automatically liked it.

Really flawed logic right there. One can perfectly go through something they dislike for different reasons. In fact many people go through this title solely because they like the digimon franchise or nostalgia for the world series.
You just said my logic is flawed while using the same logic I just used. They got it for either nostalgia or they liked the franchise so therefore playing it up to near completion means they somewhat enjoyed it. Normal people put in the effort to complete a game they even remotely enjoy or else it’s not worth doing

Your reasoning is: If you complete it, you enjoy it. With the underlying implication that OP couldn't really think the game is awful if he completed it. Hence, game is good.
What i said was: If you complete a game, you don't necessarily enjoy it. You can play it for whatever reason you see fit even if you dislike it. For example, forming an opinion about the game's systems or it's progression structure.
We're not using the same logic here because you're trying to make an implication out of your premise and i'm simply saying your premise is wrong.
I never said that they enjoyed it. I said enjoyed it “somewhat”. Meaning they had a level of enjoyment, not a complete enjoyment. Way to go with nitpicking what I said to try and say I’m wrong

Way to be dishonest.
How am I dishonest? I repeated what I said. That is literally the definition of the truth. So now honest people are liars cos you don’t want to be wrong?

Here is what I repeated. You just picked one of my comments to try and say I’m dishonest when I’m not. Not a smart move. You can’t pick a comment and say someone is a liar. It doesn’t work that way

You're saying that people that finished a game can't dislike it because finishing implies they enjoyed it.

You didn't repeat what you said initially. You added the somewhat later to make your argument less rigid, and then pretend you never said the "you obviously enjoyed it" part. And even with the somewhat, it's still a false premise as i said earlier. People can go through a game, finish it and think it's an awful game.
I said they obviously enjoyed cos by finishing it then it’s not entirely awful. It’s illogical to work so hard to 100% a game and not somewhat enjoy it. They had to have a level of enjoyment to be that dedicated to completing it. So by misunderstanding what I said, you have made your side of this look horrible

It's not illogical to work hard to 100% a game and not completely enjoy it. A game journalist can go for a deep dive into the game, finish it and have a negative experience with it, which is completely reasonable. Same with a regular player that goes in for the examples i said earlier.
And even if it's illogical to do so. People do illogical stuff all the time.
So now you’re agreeing with me? Pick a lane

Edit: I just noticed you used the "completely enjoy it" this time. What happened? I thought you said somewhat?
I edited and fixed it. I will thank you for pointing that out. I meant somewhat

You're saying it's illogical to work 100% for a game without somewhat enjoying it, i'm saying it's possible to be a logical process (see example), and even if it wasn't, people do illogical stuff all the time. See us for example, what's the point of arguing with strangers on the internet about the good or badness of a random game? Yet here we are. Hence, that premise is not relevant either.
Maybe OP completing the game was illogical, but that doesn't make the outcome any less different. He thinks the game is bad after doing it.
His reasoning is flawed though. Achievements/trophies don’t add, just hidden/locked ones get revealed and completing the town doesn’t add more or else it’s a falsehood cos the village wouldn’t be complete. The whole point of it being complete is cos there is nothing else to add to it

Maybe you could've pointed that out in the first place. If the argument to be have is "OP is lying", we don't really have anything to discuss here, since we don't really have a way to prove it either.
The achievements/trophy part we can argue against cos we can view the list and see some locked and some hidden until we have unlocked enough. The only time achievements get added is if there is a DLC/expansion that adds achievements to the new major additions

We could speculate if OP is lying or not, but that fact doesn't fundamentally change anything about our discussion. I could use me as an example of someone who has finished games that i didn't like and we could keep going with the main argument.
I’ve moved on from that

you completed the entire game, post game, and dlc content then whine and demand a refund because there was no super secret ♥♥♥♥. you dont deserve one you did everything lmao you got over 100 hours of content

also there is stuff that unlocks after anyway, the ability to have your own boltboutamon.

also everything after 200 prosperity was dlc. no base game. thats why no achievements.

An easy google search would have told you there are 232 Digimon in this game. This knowledge has been known for years.
The fact that it's a port aside, the amount of content in this game is well-worth $60. Especially if you evaluate your time compared to a $15 movie ticket for example.
