Report a translation problem
Basically lets say:
gen x reached 9999 hp
gen y inherits gen x hp% but only reached 7000 cause you didnt really train hp much
gen z inherits a % from 9999 hp because that's the highest stat in hp history.
Once you hit 9999 in a stat. the inheritance will always see the max value and not the lower ones as to not reset generation progress.
This is actually a very nice upgrade which I didn't notice and kept trying to raise my Digimon to the best stats possible each gen by whatever means, because I thought it was like World 1 where you retain only a % of stats of the dying Digimon (with previous gens ignored).
If I had known this, I would have been more comfortable with them dying lol.
