If you are familiar with the traditional JRPG, go for Cybersleuth
If you enjoy Visual Novels head to Survive
If you are asking me, I would recommend with this game over those other 2 so you can at least get a grasp of where Digimon originates from
I've played both this and Survive, and even if the second one it's not my genre, I recommend it over World Order. This one is awful, instead of having to think about leveling and training your DGMN like you should do, you have to feed them, they need to make poo, cure them, and everything else that's totally useless, imho.
I got Cybersleuth/HM for the Switch and I must say while I enjoy the digivolotion-tree, pretty much everything else falls really, really flat. Except Kyoko and Rina's upper portions and some of the humor.
I'm aware it's an older game but they could have done way better in so many regards.
If you just mean Digimon in general and don't have a game preference yet, go for cybersleuth it has a lot of Digimon in it and it is a bit older so it has a more entry friendly price tag, particularly on sale.
Yes just Digimon in general. I think I'll go with cybersleuth for now and if I'm hooked I'll pick this one up as well, knowing its a completely different game.
