I find this very poorly thought out
My two champion Digimon have just died of old age with more than a day between their deaths. This is disrupting the management of my training, as well as "keeping blocked" one of my Digimon for a day with stats that took me a long time to farm. I imagine this issue will only get worse over time. Why didn't they simply have the same biological clock for both of our Digimon ?

They do have the same biological clock for both of them, one of them might have gotten sick or injured a few too many time and died earlier because of that... also, dying at Champion? that takes some doing

I've always treated them at the same time, and in any case it's a bad idea to have left the possibility of deregulating the biological clock if it is indeed the same at the base according to what you said because now it's going to have a snowball effect

Make sure to sleep, to feed them and to not push them too hard when training and when battling. Oh and not forgetting to take them to the loo when they need to go. Failure to do even one of these shortens their life.

That's actually a big advantage. You'll notice the Digimon with the lower level is gaining WAY more stats from training, so different evolution levels of your Digimon is a good thing.

Later you'll be able to extend their lifespan (with specific fruit/fish or dishes from the restaurant) and to "trade" lifetime between your Digimon (hospital). So don't worry, everything is going to work out fine. At the start of the game it's hard (at least on normal difficulty), but give it a bit of time, you'll get your Mega Digimon who live long enough :)

also for another tip to add on, when you see in the points shop phantom nectar, that increases life and its usually only 500 points, so stockpile for that.

Sh1t, although they're not living creatures like PKMN are.

Depends, I encourage you to not compare Pokemon and Digimon since it is a very sensitive topic and may ignite fire.

If you think about it, among the Pokemon Games and this Digimon Game, only one game that requires you to feed, treat them if they are sick, train them at the gym, guide them to the nearest toilet for number 2, start getting old, and die of old age, reincarnated into an egg.

And that's why it doesn't like me.

Yeah.
I mean, they come back as babies. And keep some of their stats from their past lives, so each reincarnation they get better and better.

So, it's not like Monster Rancher, where you lose everything when the mon dies.

Actually, it's been established throughout the series that Digimon are living creatures, just ones born from computer code, and heavily influenced by computers and the internet.
(Bearing in mind in most entries, it's made clear humans didn't create Digimon)

certain digimon don't like certain areas and it makes there 'life timer' go faster maybe that's what happened. later on in the game you can feed your digimon food which extends the timer, so if you wanted they could live forever. also make sure you spend your tamer points to extend life for your digimon :)
