That's the lv.2 Goblimon I can't beat.
I'm playing on normal.
I know, but it annoys me to lower the difficulty game.
And get the defend command tamer skill ASAP, as well as the upgrade that reduces the damage to 0. The ability to fully negate damage at will almost makes the combat too easy.
Oh also make sure to lure them to you one by one, no need to fight them in duos until you can actually take them easily.
I recommend watching some guides on YT on how to get through the early parts of the game.
This website can help you see the Parameters of the digimons next stage https://www.grindosaur.com/en/games/digimon/digimon-world-next-order
BUT working to the next level doesnt come without its own set of problems.. For example if Digimon A Digivolves and Digimon B doesnt there is a chance on a Desync and that could really throw your game off into a moment where most of the time story progression cannot really happen because you have 1 really weak digimon and 1 stronger digimon for that stage of the game.
There are ways to fix the Desync but early game its REALLY difficult and really tedious
Ofcourse you play the game how you want it :) but this is just some advice from me
The problem with "normal" difficulty is that it's misleading, it only reduces the amount of stats you get from training, i.e. increasing the amount of grinding you have to do. This in turn also makes some other design flaws worse.
There is no shame in that, no reason to be annoyed. Consider it a bug in the game.
If you then still hit difficulty spikes it just means you have to hit the gym more. Or alternatively hit weaker encounters more to gain more stats.
This will deal with pretty much everything for a while.
Beginner = Easy
Easy = Normal
Normal = Hard
All Normal mode does is half your stat gain, it just slows you down really.
Early game you're better off getting your starters to rookie-level and farming mobs because you don't just get stats but also items and bits.
