I Swear Digimon Live Way Longer Than in the Original
I had it for PS4 and it took me a few tries to get Digimon to Ultimate, but this time they get to it right away. Almost 4 hours in and they haven't died yet.

Easy, but I played on Beginner the first time I played.

Beginner, but I played on Easy the first time I played.

that why beginner more casual play the Normal. Normal is hard mode. it made so you have time to learn gameplay

I literally said I played on an easier mode the first time I played it than this time.

Although, from what I've heard, the difficulty has no real effect on the game, aside from how many points you get from training.
Enemies don't get weaker or stronger, nothing really changes, other than how much time you have to spend training.

That's why I went ahead and picked the easiest difficulty.

Would you mind explaining how and what the difficulty changes? I have to yet start the game and I would like the challenge, but if that reduces stats given, that could become easily a chore (unless you can change difficulty at will).

There's only a couple changes, but it makes a big impact on your experience.

Normal: Hardest experience.
Easy: Twice the stat gain of Normal. Reduced Digivolution requirements.
Beginner: Same as Easy, but strength of enemies is also reduced.

I got to ultimate on normal with my first gen too. Megakabuterimon blue and taomon silver. It's definitely easier. Though, getting to mega looks a lot harder than getting to ultimate, the curve is much much steeper. Since DW1 only went to ultimate (except for machinedramon), comparing DW1's ultimte to DNO's mega makes more sense and seems more in line. Getting to champion, penultimate, in DW1 was pretty easy too

Maybe you took a "life" skill in your tree this time and you didn't before?

And beginner didn't exist on ps4 =)

Seems to last about the same amount of time as when I played on ps4, if you get to ultimate/perfect they last up to 16 days with some variables. That's when mine went out, just like they did on console. Did you give them items from the online points shop? those can extend life

Difficulty has no effect on how long your digimon live or how easy it is to digivolve besides the gym having different stat gains. The game has always had piss easy to get ultimates which are generally the recolors. And on repeat runs of the game getting mega in the first generation is possible if you know what to aim for. Lifespan is affected by life skill tree, which I'd recommend are the first two you take anyway, and digivolution stage. Ultimate lives longer than champion, mega than ultimate, you get the idea. And even if you only get to champion with no life skills they should live to be 15ish days old anyway. The lifespans weren't THAT short.

Thanks! Can you also change difficulty on the fly? That could be a nice way to speed up things when hatching new digimons over the time.

2 times the stat gains means you only need half as much training on your digimon.
