also legends arceus isnt even open world
Many games start with more text or narrative at the beginning, even shooters sometimes have big epic cutscenes or force you into playing a walking simulator for 30 minutes instead of high pace gameplay at the start. I don't see how this is even remotely an issue unless you never play games that have a narrative.
This game however risked everything to appeal to a niche audience. People who loved and clicked with it, adore it. Aside from the charm it lost due to modern gaming, this game still did a lot of risking just to appeal to that audience and I respect them for that.
If its not for you try other games instead. You wont find any other game like this off the market I promise you that because it is a Niche game for niche people.
Have you NEVER played ANY game with any story whatsoever? Was the last videogame you played super mario.
Never ever touch a jrpg. Final fantasy would give you a heart attack.
and the 20 min is not even the start of the game is the opening
