Difference between Steam Version vs. Stand-alone Version

Hi! I am interested in this software after seeing some positive reviews of it in Youtube and other websites. But it looks like the Steam version is worse (as seen with many negative reviews here) compared to the Stand-alone version that can be bought from the developer's website here[screamingbee.com].

The price is higher in the Stand-alone version but it looks like there are more freebies for it in their website (see list below). However, when I tested their Demo/Trial version[screamingbee.com] and checked the separate purchasable Effects Rack Plugin therein, that add-on DOES NOT seem to work and crashes constantly. The Stand-alone Trial version works fine so far.

I am still not sure if these freebies will work in the Steam version and if yes, how can they be installed with it.

Again, there is a free downloadable Stand-alone Demo/Trial version for Windows & MAC at their website here[screamingbee.com] for those interested. Other than what I observed, does anybody know any other differences between the two versions aside from what I specified herein?

According to ScreamingBee Support, there is no major difference between the two versions. But of course, one will need the Steam launcher here to run MorphVox Pro 5. Thus buy where it is cheaper and if you are getting this software here on Steam, remember you can evaluate it for not more than 2 weeks and less than 2 hours of use to still have the option to refund if anything goes wrong.

Furthermore, the freebies are the same in the two versions. But those Premium Voice Packs, Plugins, etc. that are not included, when clicked, will prompt and redirect the user to the corresponding product page where you can buy it.
