Hi all,
A few more fixes and another general engine update to keep it current. There have been some updates to the enemy scaling and difficulty. The difficulty levels have been set to Normal, Hard and Extreme now with some changes to the scoring.

Updates

Gamemaker engine updated to current.
Input 5 module updated to Input 6.
Steam integration updated to current.
The Load button will only appear on the Assignment screen now if there is an autosave available. This is so that new players can identify the Connect button easier.
The difficulty setting have been changed to Normal, Hard and Extreme with score multipliers set to x1, x1.5 and x2 respectively.
Salvage and health has been amended on all enemies to reflect the scaling change. It should now be a bit easier on Normal than previously but Extreme now offers a harder challenge.

Fixes

Fixed an issue with enemies not being revealed at Sight Range correctly.
Fixed an issue with Sgt Lin not moving properly after being hit in the 5th assignment.
When a new assignment is issued, it will automatically switch to the new mission.
Updated some spelling mistakes in various dialogues.

Game window offset from screen?

I legit can't interact with the right hand side of the game window, the game cursor is offset about 300 pixels left of my actual cursor and before I get to the Options button, my cursor leaves the game window (which appears to be offset 300 pixels to the left, so I can't even read the buttons that are over there). I can't find any hotkeys that navigate around the UI nor can I find a way to toggle fullscreen....

Version 1.2 - Small Screen Update

Hi all,

This update brings a few fixes and a general engine update to keep it current, but the main highlight here is the ability for the game to scale the resolution down to smaller screens while maintaining its aspect ration. The main driver for this is that I would like to get the game verified on the Steam Deck. There's still a lot to do, so this is the first step in making that happen.
Starlight: Defence Command is however playable on the Steam Deck right now. With the screen size able to scale down to the 1200 x 800 resolution needed and a community control layout you're able to enjoy this game out on the go - I have been all week.

New

The resolution now automatically scales for smaller screens below the native 1920 x 1080 that the game uses. (There's no change to the scaling used to push the resolution up for larger screens).
The game will run on a Steam Deck. I would advise setting the game to full screen and adjusting the font size to your taste. There is a community keyboard layout added that adds some of the main hotkeys to the mouse and keyboard layout that Steam has.

Updates

Gamemaker engine updated to current.
Input 5 module updated to current.
Steam integration updated to current. The game now verifies that there is a legitimate steam key.
Additional backend tidy up.

Fixes

Fixed an intermittent sound loop bug.
The minigame, 'Blast' should be playable again now that the controls have been reconfigured.
Fixed an intermittent bug in the flow of mission 5 when Sergeant Lin gets attacked..
Fixed a bug in mission 13 if a Satellite Relay gets destroyed.
Fixed an intermittent bug in the events system when displaying damaged towers.
