I usually assume the game is available the day after; and if it's before that then great.
Seriously? This game has felt like a complete game since I first entered it. With nearly 200 hours clocked, I have yet to experience a single glitch or bug or performance problem. My computer is 15 years old, with no upgrades - and it still runs smooth as butter. I haven't had a single problem with this game! I would buy this game at twice what I paid for it - and it would still be worth the money.
I do however hope they will add helmets, and perhaps the option to buy/build a homebase where I can store stuff I don't want to sell or drag around.
And you can already store stuff in counters, that you can build in cities (you must have reached lvl4 in commerce path).
-No terrain elevation, boring battle maps
-Characters look like they are all related, where are the dark skinned people?
-Same attack animation for standard attacks, very boring
-no helmets, wearing big bulky backpacks in combat
-a horse that fights with you but no ability to ride it
-guards apparently have a.i controlled drones that give away your location and report all your misdeeds
-a.i enemies are like children compared to hireable mercenaries, why are mercenaries demi gods?
-a.i skills almost completely based on the weapon they are holding
-Archers CANNOT use melee weapons to defend themselves, really? Fists?>
-etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
Is this simply a money grab at the turn based audience who felt disappointed or fullfilled with the divinity series? At first I saw this advertised as a "realistic turn based adventure" no part of this is realistic, and there are heavy fantasy elements. I dont understand why people are happy with this, very low standards or lack of experience in this genre. This is half ass, fix or be forgotten and never trusted again.
- true but not boring IMO. I mean, elevation, stairs, etc. would make a great tactical addition but I'm afraid the game engine should be reworked a little to do this.

- helmets will be added, and I think we'll soon be able to turn backpacks off in combat since it's asked A LOT (just like helmets, in fact people reclaiming helmets are the same that want backpacks off)

And I don't get the analogy with DOS... It's more like a battle brothers (though I didn't play BB). There is no real main quest in Wartales (much more a sandbox experience with some light region-related written quests), no real RPG dialogues, DOS is not a "merc band manager", combat is drastically different, and so on.
So when you say "very low standards or lack of experience in this genre", are you sure you're talking of the right "genre"?
Besides, I don't see how your propositions could drastically alter the game so you could like it enough, maybe the massive changes suggestions stand in the "etc etc etc" ?
Today is April 12 and there is no update yet, why??? What time will it be?
