My theories on the scenarios of the roadmap 2025 dlcs
This is just my silly guesses after reading this which I want to share with you all so you can skip my ramblings if you want to:
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1527950/view/536594572115971437

Basically I can tell you -straight up- where I think the next two dlcs that caught my attention are gonna be based at and why: First the where, which can be summarised in two words, Harag and Edoran.

Why? Let me tell you why. The first dlc of the two which is coming in Q2 2025 is literally called "The Beast Hunt" if that tittle alone is not self-explanatory, it is then an obvious hint about what it is to come specially after playing the whole Ludern region scenario (If you haven't yet, I am not going to spoil.) It is clear to me we are going to be meeting our pain in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-ball friend once again in the Kingdom of Harag, hopefully to tie the colossal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a loose end of doom the damn Alazarians (They need to chill the ♥♥♥♥ out for a bit /reddit post by aaaaiiiss2) left hanging over ours necks to fix.

As for the second dlc, "Manage your fief" coming in Q3/Q4 2025. THIS ONE, ladies and gentlemen I am looking forward to! It was the first thing on the roadmap that caught my attention and inspired me to make this post. Basically when I mentioned the where the dlcs are going to take place I said Edoran, that reason why Edoran is based on a process of elimination:

-Kingdom of Harag: The most obvious of the bunch, taking aside that Ludern alone is a swampy hellhole filled to the brim with abominations, the Kingdom of Harag is less than a kingdom and more like a tribal confederation of trackers clans, so no castles or towns to manage a fief there. (Unless you want to count the plague-ridden ruins from former towns built by Edoran in their past war with Harag.)

-Alazar: They really don't have a big reason to, they will either acknowledged you, but your contributions to them will really be not different than as if they were just hiring the standard goon squad to do their errands here and there. Or they will absolutely hate your guts if you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ them over and over again and their "big-brain" plans. (E.g. Vertruse, Ludern, siding with the inquisition in Dromback County.)

-Belerion: Haven't played there yet, so I don't have a strong opinion to make here for or against a fief. But considering Belerion is a sea region filled with pirates, I am going to be leaning against it for now.

-Kingdom of Gosenberg: Similar reason with Alazar, although in the defence of Gosenberg they see you more favourably as a military or economic partner bound by contract (Taking into account that you helped them against Alazar in Vertruse.) instead of just being the errand boy.

-Independent: Like Tiltren County or Mount Altis, this one was probably close in my estimations behind Edoran but still got eliminated as a possibility since there is no realistic way for a group of mercenaries to just walk in build/take over a fortress/town and not annoy the powers that be or go bankrupt in the process since it would be a really expensive endeavour and this game really doesn't have a passive way to make a lot of money while you are on and about around the world.

That leaves the Kingdom of Edoran, a kingdom in which you and your band of vagabonds had an big enough influence in tilting the scales to one of the three factions in the Arthes Civil War AND singlehandedly carried the war effort against the Skelmar at Ormance County. Those achievements are massive with the context that we are just mercenaries, no legion army, no foreign expedition, just a party of dudes going from place to place trying to make some cash to get-by. Taking that into account I would be extremely surprised if we haven't yet raised a few eyebrows or attracted anybody attention to us in the Edoranian Capital by now, but if we do, being granted a fief by Edoran would be an extremely logical action from them and not entirely unrealistic due to the fact that mercenaries being elevated to lord and being granted a fiefdom was a real live existing practice during the middle ages:

Shout-out to my man here and his perfect explanation on the topic, it spares me from having to type it all here, saving everybody's time.

And that is that, if you skipped this long yapping of mine, I don't fault you. I also wanted to quit typing this haft-way through. But if you managed to read all of this to the end then cheers mate! I appreciate that and wish I could buy you a beer!

Not bad. But what class/es will be added.

If it's Harag?

What about Edoran?

It could be anything really, it is too soon to tell which classes are they going to be implementing since we do not have much to go on, specially on Edoran side since the roadmap doesn't even have a title on the "manage your fief" dlc yet. But If I were to make a lousy guess on the new class from Harag, I would say: warrior/archer + tamer, based on the details available so far.

Warrior, as an unarmed fighter?

More like a barbarian class, but that is just my guess.

I think the "fief" update could be what makes this game really amazing. I'd love it if we could recruit characters to fill it, but maybe give them more character than the randomly generated stuff. -I want to be able to collect characters based on their personality or quirkiness. I want characters like Beep (from Kenshi) to find out in the world.

Edoran seems possible enough. Take the castle of Laheart or Vernalis depending which side you took perhaps?

There is another empty castle around, but this will probably be in a new region.

Have a feeling the fief system will either be "an island" aka a separate instance like we saw in Runescape, or a new region. Based on all the elements, I have a hard time believing my warband leader, through all of their accomplishments, would be the petty king of any of the regions and how it would work with the current NPCS. Just seems like a lot to update (and break) and easier to start from scratch.

Most likely Salvattorek is right. odds are the border crossing at the north of Ormance will be opened and we'll gain access to the heartlands of Edoran and the fiefdom will be there.

Alternatively to keep the dlc separation concept going one of the roads leading off the map in Drombach may be how the new region is accessed. They'll eventually map themselves into a corner though if not careful.

Arthes has one as well, no?
Ever since the Hearthfire dlc in Skyrim, I've always been itching to build houses/bases in games. I'd love to be able to build my fief from scratch. Customizing the layout and what it contains would be very cool to me.

Not since the Skelmar expansion. The road in the north now leads to a cave, west to Ormance, and south to the mountain statue. It has no roads off the map anymore.

Ludren has them too by the swamp in the East I believe.

Hopefully knights - dudes riding on horses, bears, wolves and boars. Also hopefully bear, wolf and boar armor.
