about Pirates of Belerion
Hello, I need advice on perhaps the best game I have but its DLC doesn't seem so promising to me so I don't know whether to buy it.
What would it give me?
Are there many tombs with treasures?
many islands or is it a lot of water as I think?
I have 10 maximum level soldiers, armed to the teeth, 30k gold and I can't spend money if it's not worth it since the price of the dollar in my country is crazy.
thank you

Personally, I enjoyed it immensely.

There is a tomb, and there is plenty of treasure.

Sea combat is fun -use the dangling ropes for the 'attack' and your guy climbs up the rigging, then use the targetting circle to pick where he comes down, knocking back all the enemies in it. If you do it right you can knock a few overboard. They'll be dangling on the edge, and the enemy has to use a move to rescue the guy. or you can (if you're lucky) knock another bad guy off at the same spot and the first goes swimming, It's also a great way to get your people in the back into the fight much sooner than if they ran.

There are several islands and movement at sea is pretty quick. There's plenty of side quests like in all the other zones, there's even a recruitable pugilist if you want one. Instead of skull bandits. there are pirate ships wandering around waiting for you to send them into the deep blue.

And then there's your reputation: make a boatload of gold with trade goods, stomp some pirates, complete a mission and you build rep. There's a list of the top 10 pirates in Belerion- build enough rep and #10 will come looking for you.
Defeat him and you get some unique goodies and a map to his buried treasure. Do it to the other 9 for other unique loot and maps.
Defeat them all and you become Lord of the Seas, with an upgrade-able crown that counts as a medium helmet and scares the crap out of those who dare stand up to you.

I thought it was worth it. Hope this helps you decide if you want it.

I really enjoyed this DLC. I thought sailing would be a burden but on the contrary, it's a lot of fun and it looks amazing. I wish they had introduced a new set of armor to make your crew looks a bit more like pirates. And maybe raise the top level.

Overall its worth it imo.

The game has a scenario like all the other zones. Theres like 13-14 islands, some with cities, others with just things to do. The sailing mini game is basic, but is nicely immersive (especially if you kill the in game sound and play shanties off of spotify).

The actual combat on ships has some neat mechanics, expect it to take you a few combats to get a feel for whats going on. Some of the items you can get in this area are stupid good lol. I used a sword on my captain from this region for like 6 levels even after i left the region and found better damage alternatives (the attribute was just super handy). And ironically am still using a helmet from this area thats level 6 (my character is now level 11 and still has it on lol).

The ONLY negatives I will say are the following:
1. Takes ages to get around the various islands, which is fine for about 75% of the time you spend in the zone, but i was getting a bit annoyed with it while wrapping up the last couple of things.
2. The bandit camp in this area is a pain in the ass because the 3 skull groups are spread across multiple islands and was actually a real hassle to chase down lol. If your playing on an easier difficulty might be faster just to fight the 25+ enemies at the camp lol.
3. Theres a pirate leaderboard system that takes a STUPID amount of points to finish. Theres like 12 crews in total you have to defeat, I finished the main mission chain and still had 3 crews to beat, which means sometime down the road ill have to circle back and just grind it out if i want to finish it.

Overall though, interesting, unique zone, was a fan.
