Of course I run half of my troops with torches in the "off hand" of the daggers.
All of them.
Why? Because if you run out... OH BOY, you gonna feel it afterwards. I mean, it does make sense, but yea, it's rough!
Running out of light injures everyone in the party. Found that out the hard way.
For example, I just entered the final room of Ludern's tomb as I type this, and while I entered with a whopping 15 torches, I only have 4 left. And I still need one for the trek back out. I didn't give a torch to the NPC inside, but if I did, I'd only have 2 torches left by the time I leave, out of my 15 initial. Only roughly one torch was wasted backtracking to find the color shapes that I missed.
Not sure how many he has in stock next time I load up the game.
