Find a Way Out - Cursed Village
DEVS - Please fix this ludicrous mechanic. I have 5 mercenaries all using the find a way out action every round for 4 rounds (yes, sometimes they couldn't because the were engaged or "dying". In total, probably used the skill on average 12-15 over those 4 rounds). Nope, not enough to fill the bar. Ridiculous. Literally cant beat it without losing one or more of my guys (level 8 and 9 BTW).

A better way to do this would be to double/triple the progress made each time, but require that the skill be used in a different area of the arena.

I spent almost two hours trying to find a way to complete this with no luck. What a waste of time.

Must be broken now. Because its always the same, you find the way out in the beginning of the third round if you use all your mercs in the process. I mean, all my runs have been exactly the same :p

And if you lose mercs you are doing something terribly wrong. Are you sure they are fited with the proper equipment, specially armor and/or guard? its impossible to lose a merc in those fights because the AI needs at least three turns to kill one. By then you already should have found the way out. Try to make your team composed by armored characters, dont bring archers or rangers, for example.

Also, put your more armored mercs right in the doors where the plague ridden will come, so you block the entrance to keep your weakest mercs safe.

Seriously, this fight is dumb. Not because its hard, but because its not actually a fight and its not avoidable per se. If you dont like it you have to eat it yes or yes (like many other things in this game unfortunately). I dont know how to lower the noise to the point of not triguering a plague ridden attack. Its always the same story. Bad design.

Uh... yes, I definitely have the proper equipment considering that my warriors and swordsman have close to 200 armor and some 60-70% gaurd lol they die because of the poison that's created when the infected attack at the end of the merc's turn.

So what you're saying is that if I use the action with all the mercs i brought form the band in the first two rounds then at the beginning of the third we escape? yeah, definitely bugged then.

Oh the poison... right. Well, in my case i have the poison inmunity belt that makes my mercs inmune to poison....

But again, thats not enough to be worried, because in the beginning of the third turn you should already found a way out. The poison cant kill you in two rounds. You are doing something terribly wrong.

Or maybe they changed something after the last update? because ive done multiple runs on the villages and its always the same. One round- Two rounds - Escape. I mean, the AI doesnt have time to kill you unless you dont use the find a way out skill in most of your mercs.

I always do the cursed villages to get rid of the main story quest. But honestly its a total waste of time. Specially because you hope to find really useful and good items and most of the times you only find trash.

Wth, how many mercs do you have to make them escape in 3 rounds, lol? I cannot escape in 6, even if I let most of them try to find a way out every round. The poison immunity perk is a good idea, tho.

Pretty sure its bugged.

Im using 5 or 6 mercs and have at least 4 mercs using the find a way out skill every round for 3 rounds. The meter gets filled up like 80% maybe? So, maybe at the same rate i anticipate that at the end of round 4 maybe round 5. But with so many baddies at that point, they get knocked down in the dying condition and cant seek a way out anymore.

n3mes1s, you probably haven't tried it since the latest updates. Try again and if you find the same thing, screen capture/record it and send it to me haha

I tried it (on extreme) with 4 mercs and finished it at the beginning of turn 4 (before the opponent's turn). Exactly the same as before the update.
As for the "door opening" mechanism, I don't see any change.

Yeah, it kinda sucks, and it doesn't matter how many people you bring in. I tested with a group of 4 vs a group of 8; it was the same gain per use.
My strategy is to use a minimally sized group to just discover stuff, then add every merc when it's time to actually do stuff. I averaged 2 fights in each village in Ludern this way.

Good idea to bring a big group after you did the searching and have to fight.

Right now I'm playing on expert with regional progress and no loading. The difficulty is by far too high for the area and for a midprogress main quest. Worst problem is if your scouts die your WHOLE game is over (yes this is my 2nd try on this patch). Another problem is the belt with the poison immunity is part of the highest region if I remember it correctly.

I played it before the recent patch and I remember it the same as described: relatively easy. Now it's over the top.

I have the same problem, I am in the quest where I have to catch 3 zombies, however it is impossible for me to escape since the bar fills up too slowly. The quest must be bugged which forces me to not be able to advance in the game

I forgot to mention that the zombies hit incredibly hard, killing my tank with excellent armor in just 2-3 attacks.

There is no bug and it can be done. You don't necessarily need to capture those plague riddens in one game (you shouldn't have a problem capturing one in the first round and just do it in 3 fights in a row)

I just equip everyone with the poison immunity belts. Can't say I really enjoy these fights though.

You can use "Find a way out" and still use secondary skill attacks, like throwing weapons, specialization abilities, and most other valor skills. You just can't use your primary attack skill.

Suspect that it was changed in the last patch. Yes, they need to change it back.
