Other than that the game co-op works via Shiro games servers, so sadly no local.

While writing this another "satisfied customer" with the same co-op problem made a post about it...
For me it's between Wartales and Stolen Realms; whichever ACTUALLY will do Couch CoOp.
Btw thanks for showing me NucleusCoOp, never heard of it before. I don't think Wartales will work over Nucleus.
Also just i case, let me tell you about a diametrically different software called Parsec :) just in case, you never know, you might need it :)
I will say that Stolen Realms has simultaneous co-op (i.e. you both take your turn at the same time) if you're playing online, but in Wartales you will constantly have to switch turns.
Furthermore, sadly the online co-op in Wartales is pretty limited, since both players have to engage in the same task at all times, which makes it kind of similar to just sitting at the same computer and taking turns playing.
I recommend both. If you can buy two copies of Stolen Realms, I'd recommend that for co-op for simultaneous co-op play, but if you don't mind having to swap controllers as you play, Wartales is really good too.
