Report a translation problem
- arenas (needs 4 people)
- rouste games (need 6?)
- cursed villages (need 4 or more?)
- creeper king (tank with damage reduction....)
....
the problem is that some questlines are blocked where you need several characters (like belerion tomb - 3 strong dudes...)
my workaround: on my journey i picked up companions with good traits and parked them at the travel post for later. takes a while to at least train up a good fab-four but it is my best experience jet in the game. the less the better.
difficulty: expert/expert/adaptive regions and free save
If just 1 guy for combat & supported by ponies & prisoners in camp, its mostly ok on adaptive. You cant start solo also as your merc needs to be well skilled & geared.
Arenas - 4
Rouste - 6
Cursed Villages - you can use work ponies to fill up the willpower requirement, but with only 1 merc you will fail either Str or Dex challenges since there's only 1 primary stat & you cant bring prisoners.
Creeper king - Doable with the right build
Main quest - 2 as some regions have quests that need to capture targets
Champion - there's 1 champion that needs to be surrounded before he can take damage.
Belerion ship - 2 if you wanna use the ballista
Belerion encounters & tomb - can use prisoners for the challenges.
So you'll need a minimum of 6 to full clear the game. But for recurring bounties, you can get by with 1.
As for a solo start, I gave this a go last night on Expert and Region-locked. Created a guy, started the game, ditched everyone but him, had a carrying capacity of 6. Dropped everything except 1 tool, one bread, and one medicine and was still overweight. Ran from the first forced fight, used the medicine and tool to to repair the damage from running. Went to the stables and bought a pack horse. Touch and go but from there I was able to survive until I could recruit people. A very interesting beginning.
