Tiltren Champion it's best to start with an archer an slow him down. The champion can't be engaged in melee, so you can hit and run.
Then the battle goes something like this:
Start: Boss will Mark the closest target
Archer uses slowdown and moves away
--Boss will move to the marked target and perpare an attack
Marked taget can attack the boss and move away
-- Boss attacks and marks a new closest target
your turn
-- Boss pattern repeats
So you hit and run. If you get hit use a shield with protection (-70% damage) and taunt the boss during your turn (-50% damage) to minimize damage.
What about the other bosses?
I am looking for a build that burns down bosses quickly. Pugilist with the ultimate level 12 ability and then what else? Maybe Cutthroat ultimate level 12 ability that gives him effectively 2 turns?
15 hits, each hit 50% chance to remove 10% max HP + attacks from the weapon etc.
But you don't need to overkill them. Most of them can be taken down by a mix of area damage and single target damage, some like Matthias Lund (Tiltren) have their gimmick mechanic to play around with.
The one in Arthes gains damage reduction for each animal you kill and bonus damage for each animal alive. Never bothered me, I just killed everything and then him.
Vertruse has a big AoE and deals damage to everyone hit at the end of their turn, but slowdown + tanks do tank stuff + damage dealer deal damage is enough.
I think the one in Drombach can't be hit as long as his goons are alive and you need to surround him
Grinmeer targets the weakest merc in range.
Ludern summons zombies for each hit, but if you hit hard enough the zombies never get to act. (I think you have 2 turns to kill her)
Belerion is annoying as he'll try to push you off the ship, but enough damage and movement to avoid bad positioning solves the problem.
So if I want to have a single dude who can burn a boss in a turn, then it's Pugilist and no other option?
Ranger's lvl 5 Instinctive Throw + Brave Oil deals a good amount of damage
Archer's Recoil Shot's Slowdown will let you control enemies
An Executioner helps thinning out groups
A pugilist starts being useful late game, the others are already useful and enough to take down the champions if used correctly.
Save before boss fights, you need to know their moves. (Edit: and right click on them, read ALL their abilities)
Or you wait till level 12 and use a pugilist to delete them before they can act -.- (except the champion in drombach, he'll evade you until you kill all goons and surround him)
So only Pugilists can solo bosses; the rest of the guys have to work together? ;)
How is Cutthroat damage with Decisive Maneuver though? He gets 2 turns.
I am too stupid to pull of a team work boss kills; I need a one-button solution like the Pugilist. But I didn't recruit one yet, and I don't want to level one from way behind. Maybe I will recruit one after I get the training dummy. Ugh ;(
So I can't do it till I am max level anyways?

Thank you, friend - that will be invaluable!
