The slide puzzles? If you 'leave' the puzzle screen, the puzzle master shows up and asks for a minor fee (krowns or influence).

Need you to be a bit more specific on which puzzle then. Slide puzzle, combo puzzle, etc. If do a search in discussions, there's plenty of Vertruse tomb threads. How to clear the mud on the wall, and so forth.
