Capture or Kill animals for resources?
Which is better, to capture an animal, like boar, and then slaughter it for it's resources OR just straight up kill them in the initial fight? Just wondering if one vs the other gives more/less of things. Thanks in advance!

I haven't done the math on how much meat/grease you get from a captured pig vs how much they actually eat over time before their "fat trait"... but what you can do is capture normal boars and then after maybe 5+ rests they'll get the "fat" trait (I tried an alpha one but it didn't seem to get the trait or it takes longer). When you execute them then, it gives you heaps of meat and grease. With this, I don't know if you get more meat the longer they have the trait or not. I was too hungry to bother lol. Also the amount you get from them seems to be RNG. I slaughtered two boars captured the same time and one gave over 20 meat and the other gave over 40. To be honest though I haven't done it since because managing them on the battlefield (and keeping them alive) can be a real pain in the ass.

Oh, that happens later? Huh. I slaughtered the the boar right away and it did *not* give anything good, so I guess unless you're willing to wait around until it gets the 'fat' trait...I guess? I mean its still eating 4 food per rest, so unless it gives you a lot I wouldn't say its terribly worth it.

Ahh, I guess I should've waited rather than butchering it immediately as well lol. Im not in /desperate/ need of food, but if I can get a few boar every now and again and manage to get 20 - 40 meat I'd say it's worth it in the long run.
I let my piggy die on the battle field as I just didn't care. But I got to put up a Grave marker for poor piggy on the side of the road. Wish I would have gotten the meat though.
