If the game is going for gritty realism and not magical escapism (WarTales clearly the former), it's not like we're going to get electric guitars and synths and what not. The canvas of musical options -- especially away from a major city or court of a large monarch -- is pretty limited.
But yeah, I dig it.

No doubt, i got the same vibes when i was playing it and was hoping somebody did a direct comparison.
a buddy and i just started a playthrough together, and this is pretty much the first thing i said after we loaded in lol
