How does the banner work ?
I didn't fully understand how the banner works.

From what I understood you spend 100 influence points to start, which gives bonuses but ....... only for one day?

If it is the cs it is enormously too expensive.

After I start so I do not know how the game works so I could be wrong.

So I did a test by taking the one that would give more ù for knowledge.
And at the next rest I got nothing, and all that for spending 100 influence points.
And in addition then the price increases to 200 influence points.
No, really, I don't get it.

Thanks to anyone who wants to help me understand.

You will mass large amount of influence, and the buffs it gives are good right before a big fight or if your farming mats overworld. It decreases back to baseline after the rest after next. Its only used if you plan in doing something very specific during that day or right before a big event. I was hoping for something more permanent but its a influence sink. It is also to see some extra cosmetic flare in came and on the map.

Thank you for your prompt response.

So we can say that it's a bonus that we can still do without considering the price.

No. I'm level 5 average in my party of 7 and i've used the banner loads and still have like 900 influence left and i've not moved to second zone yet.

It's definitely worth it if used correctly.
Do you need to assign a lieutenant to it for the bonuses to work? Or is that only a cosmetic change on the map?
Need to assign a lieutenant first.

Lieutenant needs to be assigned.
Dump knowlage boost only when u build table for ur arhaeologist
The way to use it properly is like this:

- Visit a region you haven't been to for 15 in-game days, without being wanted (dodging the guard is a pain).
- Rest eating the Culture Shock recipe, since it gives both strength & fatigue mitigation bonus.
- If you have a recipe for run speed or duration, use it as well when resting.
- Activate XP, enemy drops, resource node drops & fatigue mitigation bonuses (400 influence used).
- Cruise around the region killing anything in sight and grabbing all resources & XP.

The 2 fatigue bonuses add up to 50% meaning you can enjoy the XP, drops & resources bonuses for longer, and from all battles, I almost got 250 influence back.

I take the knowledge point boost also & use delicious Culture Shock for such burst.
About 7~8 in game days with full buffs.
This strategy makes gold & influence trivial. Players who are struggling to keep their party fed are usually missing out on this.
"If it is the cs it is enormously too expensive."

as someone above pointed out, 100cs is a tiny amount you can earn that by singing just 3 bard songs in the local inn (as soon as you build a lute). the stacking cs costs of banner skills is washed away just by alternating which skills you use each day (the costs of any skill reset on rest when not in use).
What's more, the medal you get for completing your first trade route gives you knowledge points as well, so that every third time your master bard sing, you get a new knowledge point. that is amazingly fast.
