removing bad traits?

sometimes this game pisses me off. my crossbowman, who already has the trait eagle eye, his one of my teammates on a 15% miss chance and now has the cross eyed trait....so hes a cross eyed eagle eye? thats dumb. is there any way to remove negative traits? im tempted to just save scum but im like 8 rounds into an intense fight,

The Drinking Buddies knowledge can remove most non-physical negative traits. Traits like Cross Eye count as a physical negative trait though and cannot be removed. Once you have that perk you're stuck with it unless you savescum it out I'm afraid.

Save scum, and then invest in Precision if you are going to risk hitting teammates. This game often seems to use Xcom rules. A 15% chance is like a guaranteed hit, while a 95% is a sure miss.
