If you don't see it, there's a small arrow sign on your action hot bar. You may want to click at to bring the rest up.
Also, if that bar does show up, have you been able to capture anything else?
I'm asking because I haven't captured any animals in my current playthrough yet, but I was able to capture the human prisoners and send them off to jail later.

This is the first time I've tried since the last update, and I can't seem to get the capture option to pop up on the toolbar anywhere. Figured something has changed or I'm missing a step.
Because that uses the same mechanic.
As for that bar I mentioned, I will post a screenshot in here later to show what I mean.

Does the animal need to be the last one standing? Though I think I did that also. Maybe I'm not standing in the exact right spot to be behind them?
