Questions about lectern
Sorry, couldnt find any dependable source on this:

How does knowledge generation on the lectern work? I can assign a scholar to work on a piece and generate knowledge. I got that. However when i dont work on anything there is a red exclamation mark. Does this mean i always need to work on something to generate knowledge? And if so its brings me to another question:

Is it actually a bad idea to upgrade my lectern? Sure, it gives me 20% more knowledge gain however it also shortens the time (rests) to finish one study. its also good on its own however i could imagine you would get less knowledge in sum cause you generate it on less days.

can someone clarify?

Department. This is a reliable knowledge generator. Even if a scientist has nothing to study, he will still generate knowledge and pump up his profession. The higher the level of the department, the faster the generation of knowledge.
thank you very much! then its like i hoped and thats a big relief cause i am really struggling getting all the wisdom i need.

but then i dont understand how no guide on the internet mentions how to unlock lectern as soon as possible because i think its really important to start early with constant knowledge generation. And getting to lvl 4 in the mystery path can be done early if you focus on it. it just wasnt clear to me as a noob how important the lectern is
Each player can have their own strategy for developing a squad. Some believe that other professions are more important, which allow you to quickly increase the farm of resources or the farm of armor. Maintaining a large squad at the beginning of the game is very difficult. These are the features of the game.
especially with a small squad knowledge is even more important cause you need a strong edge against enemy groups i.e. upgrades and blueprints for good equipment
