Co-op not working, help?

so last week me and a buddy played co-op and it ran smoothly but this weekend when we went to play, the non host player gets stuck in an eternal load screen ( eventually times out and says cannot join game), anybody have any ideas whats happening? anything would help. he has skelmar invasion dlc I dont but we both have the rest, this wasnt an issue last week though

Loading into the coop game seems to have issues. We also had issues when initiating combat. I as the second player couldn't get into the combat map at all. The game loaded a black screen even though I could hear the (animal) units growling and could also hear the opening and closing sound of the menu when I pressed ESC.

I found a temporary fix for the combat-black screen issue, though. I changed all my graphical settings to LOW and then we could initiate combat without any problems. You can even revert your settings back to whatever they were before once the combat map has loaded. But if you forget to set them back to LOW before starting the next combat, the game once again loads to black screen.

We had same issue after update and someone suggested the low graphics setting to player two which worked for us as a workaround as well.

going through the same. I am normally the second player, and now it's so annoying that on the mission fights it simply goes black and we are not being able to continue playing like it. Will try the low graphics setting..

So many issues related to co-op now since the update that every time we play the game has a massive issue of some sort and forces us to restart. Tried the Belerion DLC. Lame. Over this game. We're moving on.
