I was running with 7 warriors for a long time, I should have documented better some loot rewards at that number.
Recently added two rogues who just sit in the back of the battlefield and generate VP with the 'out of combat adjacent to ally' trait.

Got what is probably the best cloth armor I have seen so far, level 10 yellow double sockets.
Too busy oogling this armor to properly have capture the entire loot list. heh
I'll screencap some more battles today and see how loot sits with this group of 11 combat units. 7 actual characters, 2 animals, 2 non fighting combatants.
First two combats were very sad, an easy and medium tavern contract.

Fighting a few police patrols wasn't much better, but a little better.

This very hard contract was quite stingy on rewards

But this weapon merchant was a triple blue with 2 stolen goods

So small teams definitely good at quick battles, but need a lot of battles to get a lot of loot. I imagine a very large team battle takes considerably longer.
In the end it probably balances out. Small team fights more and gets less, large team fights less and gets more.
But I notice as battles get larger, the scattering of enemies into small pockets is quite annoying. I much prefer a cluster of enemies all together than 4 packs of 4 all scattered all over the place. That's annoying to have to chase down, especially in like a swamp fight.
It is just raining loot with that many enemies.

Blue quality armor, a ++ two socket armor, three weapons, and a shield.
But it is painfully clear that you need to take on huge amounts of enemies to really make the loot rain. The guards with their extra 2 waves of troops has made that painfully clear.
