Ship hold and camp weight

It's has been almost a year since I played Wartales. I loaded my save where everyone is on board our ship and suddenly I see that my camp weight is extremely high, way above my carrying capacity, but that's not how things were when I last played (almost a year ago).
After doing some tests, it seems that everything I store at the ship's hold is counting as camp weight, which basically means the hold is useless, since it would be the same if I kept everything in my inventory.
I am confused. Can someone help me understand what happened to the ship's hold since I stopped playing?

I've always found the hold to be useless because this is exactly how it's always worked for me. When you're not on your ship, the weight of the stuff in the hold is counted toward your inventory weight. Just yesterday I was messing around with this, watching my carried weight go up and down as I docked and boarded my ship.

An update the other day messed with carry weight limits, which may be why you're suddenly overweight. I don't think the way the hold works changed at all.
