So I found that letter about Rook's contact pretending to be a merchant. It says that to reveal his true identity I must sell him some eel broth. I tried to sell both boiled eel and eel soup to each of 3 merchants on the market, but that triggered nothing. Am I doing it way too late and I've broked some expected event sequence (cause I'm like on 93/100 progress and already have one clear suspect)? Or there's some bug? Or somehow I'm selling it wrong?

It’s not one of the merchants in the market and it’s not a traveling merchant with carts.

Some say its eel soup some say its boiled eel you need to reveal the captain of the ship but if you dont do it early enough he gets killed. The Eel Broth is a mistake.

It's a translation issue - Eel Broth is the same as Eel Soup .... you sell the eel soup to that guy in the ship.

I am at 95% completed, needed to go sell eel soup at the ship, but everyone at the ship is dead. How do I continue from here?

Edit: never mind, accused the right person without unmasking the rooks.
So much for getting all achievements...

I just start playing this game a month ago. I have the same problem with Rooks the ship captain. I forgot to offer him a eel soup and now the ship got attacked and the captain is in the Palace and you cannot offer him anything. So I am also stuck at 95% of the quest!

same here...anybody knows how to solve it?

If you have defeated the Rooks on the ship already, and that's why you can't give the guy his eel soup 'cos he's now dead, it doesn't matter 'cos you already got the required evidence to finger the Rooks anyway.

Devs need to change the way this eel soup thing works 'cos there is absolutely no indication as to who exactly you need to sell it to anywhere. I double checked, confirmed there was no such indication of any kind, and shamelessly looked this one up.

There is a note you find 'somewhere' on the map that says 'avoid the Magnificent' or words to that effect.

I remember finding it and thinking "Gee, that is probably important... what/where is the Magnificent again?"

So I assume that is the clue you need to have you sell the eel soup but I cannot remember where I found it and only made the connection after reading this thread.
