Upgrade weapon?

In the new area, at the brotherhood castle, there's a guy at a desk 'hired goon huon' selling a few skill books who also seems to offer the service of "upgrade weapon".

I'm sure I'm being stupid, but I can't work out how to actually use this. A box opens with "inventory" written on it, but I haven't been able to find any way of placing any weapons in that box to be upgraded. Can anyone help?

unequip weapon. then go to box , right click on the weapon it should move to the right then you can pay for it

yeah, that';s not working for me. I unequip weapon and it goes into my inventory. But right-clicking on it from there does nothing. I can't drag it over either.

1. You can only improve legendary weapons, you get them by "deciphering" the fragments via the archeology table.
2. You buy a skill book, open the inventory and the character view. In the skills on the character are small yellow arrows pointing up. You can upgrade these skills. Sometimes these are really good improvements. You can also look through all the characters first, which improvement you like best and then click on "Improve". Have fun!

You have to drag the legendary weapon into the upgrade field, sort of pick and drop ;-) Then click on upgrade. Costs my 500 gold

It's only ever worked for legendary weapons although I think the weekly drop weapons are now included. Other stuff that you make/buy can't be upgraded apart from by adding an oil to it
