How high does armor get?

I've only seen about 104 armor (heavy) as of now. Playing on normal, free mode. How high does it get?

I have been playing (in game time) 6 months and level 8 , I have come to the same armour class of 100-ish and now i am even struggling with easy fights from the tavern , Only to get destroyed ?? I can not advance my armour points and it is putting me off the game which is a shame because it is really well done !! And do the salaazar chains exist ?? .. These are the only 2 things that is REALLY frustrating me and i feel i have tried EVERYWHERE to find better armour

the highest i have had is 175 but i am sure there is higher. on my current run i have a 158 and 144 at lvl 8. since they go up to lvl 11 there should be much higher armor.

LEVEL 5 and 661 armour ??????????? What the hell am i missing ..I feel i have tried everywhere ... I have actually deleted my save out of frustration at not getting above 110 armour at level 8 and constantly losing easy battles . Thank you anyway ..at least i know it is there now .. I must be missing something

You are probably playing region locked mode, merchant gear caps at level 6. In free mode it can scale up to level 11.

If you are in free mode, just add more guys to your team I think.

The armor rating he got came from his gear, not the char level. At 70000+ krowns, he must have fought countless battles and hit the level cap for many of his companions to get hold of lv11 gear. Just amazing. Hope I can get something like that too. But I need to first get my team to level up…

Actually, I got a lot of LV11 bears. Which make most of my enemy are LV 11. Under the free mode, of course.

Just started a 3rd time and i have actually gone to free mode to see if that is what it was ..so thank you for feed back and fingers crossed this time . Sorry whitestone it does look like i was connecting char level and armour together ..i know it is solely armour . I just can not find that 600+ armour .My birthday suit would have been more effective in my last saved game

With Infused Collar, which heals 10% of max HP, make the bears are hardly to die. A LV 11 bear has over 1300 HP. In most of encounter, I just let the bear out.

Are we all playing the same game ??? At 240 hrs and 2 play through,s played the biggest animal i found was 212 HP and that was a bear which was also been destroyed mainly by wrong doers who destroyed my team all the time . I am getting more angry at my situation because you all seem to be finding the right gear and animals and i have walked the ENTIRE game and found futile armour and animals . Anyway 3rd time and changed to free mode so lets see ..

Animal, in this game, are consumables. Any items would return to your inventory, when the owners' die. The costs is nothing but time and rope.

lol, not likely - in Region Locked I've got heavy armour over 175, same with Medium armour, I believe my highest Light Armour is about 150 - I'd double check but i can't be bothered ;)... I'm in my second game now - and it's nice as i've not encountered any bugs :) saying that I still got Harag tomb to do... what I will offer though - is in my second game I freed up a bear in my Tiltren Jail; that was cool - getting a bear with my guys barely level 3. So if starting over look for a bear in Tiltren jail...
