Old coop saves can't be loaded

When opening a coop save from last January, the game doesn't load it. It sends an invitation to my coop partner but immediately shows a message on my screen:

Logging out.
There was a communication error with the host.

We are not sure what is happening but our guess is that the old saves have become incompatible with the current version of the game or there is some sort of network issue with the game's servers or something has changed in the game due to updates that has made the basic Windows firewall to stop the game from communicating over the net.

Please keep the save, they are compatible. I can load our 179+ Hours co op and even after the update we were able to play together before we got the key for the chest in the heretics camp, then the save function bugged and it wouldn't show up the saved games but rather ask for a new save.
Tested it and a new save loads aswell but doesn't show up again when you wanna save.
However, you can load old and new saves but t he second player stucks at the moment.
We already reported the issue along with several others and it's in the works for a bug fix.

I think the new feature with which we can make a multiplayer game out of a single and vice versa brought back the save game issue we had once before (last year as far as I remember).

Does the save still says coop game? if noy, try to go to multiplayer load single player save and it will make coop again.

I hope you can solve it one way or another!

Hundreds of people have been posting about this since october but no fix yet for months :(
