The Tavern is entirely pointless if you're in the endgame outside of some extra achievements and in the early-midgame it splits the company (unless you run it entirely with civilians) and the focus of the game with the only rewards being you get to look at numbers and a bootleg "building sim" while racking up way more money than you'll end up needing over the course of the game, making the mercenary work entirely pointless in a game that's supposed to be about mercenaries. For the price of an entire region with its own mechanics and storyline.
The Pits is entirely aimed at the endgame, which is fair enough, but there's only so many arenas that can be finished within a couple hours and the rewards for them feel like they belong in the midgame, but even for midgame they would feel lackluster. For the price of an entire region with its own mechanics and storyline.
It really feels like they've had the same team that made the game work on the first DLC and then proceeded to oursource the rest.
Agree with all of your points, especially the fact that they feel like free updates for the amount of content that they offer.
The future DLCs have to change direction if they want to be succesful, may open another discussion about it later.
I could justify the purchase of "The Tavern" and "The Pits" , if they were further discounted or offered more content, but as they stand they add lackluster content and that is it.
