What do you mean "tactical puzzles"? So the Pits isn't just about killing enemy combatants?
It's very similar to the existing arena fights in the game, except it's just one fight at a time and with sometimes more game-changing mechanics.
Good replies.
-Its definitely the least good of the 3 DLCs, by far. So it's the only one that is potentially skippable; the other two are must-buys. I'm actually surprised that the Fame rewards are as underwhelming as they are, given that the other two DLCs gave much reward compared to this.
-I really love this game, so for me it was worth it, on sale. I don't regret buying it!
-Pits are easy sources of "colossal paw", an ingredient for some mid-game armor later recipes. Sold by fence vendor, AND restocks. Much easier than farming high level ghost packs.
-Fame rewards are not great, but you can earn 3 recipes for oils that increase damage against enemies with ailments. Not bad. Some of the weapons you earn are more powerful than the base crafted ones. Not bad either.
