Not particularly. There are some gameplay overhauls that people like, but that's not really a first playthrough kind of mod.

I add everything that I liked to my assembly, olto mod.
I modded my .pak myself, to reduce the chance of prisoner escape to 0 so I could have camp workers to work equipment and not have 20 fighters. If I could figure out a way to have them require a salary I'd add that in too.

Totally a feature that should be in this game.
A unit can be made not participating in battle, but active in the camp, by adding the appropriate flag.

That would be great then we'd acutally have to pay them. What is the code for that in the PAK file?

Usually prisoners that escape can be caught again somewhere near your camp. They show up as a single bandit running around. You can stop them from escaping by surrounding them with camp items, animals, and other companions. I actually had a prisoner that escaped and got caught again so many times, he killed himself! When I'm about to rest, I save the game, and if someone escapes, I just reload - sometimes that's enough to prevent an escape, but most often I have to reload, then just move some people or animals around a bit. I've got the prisoner rack thing but don't use it, as I have prisoners making everything (except the workbench things) and being whipped by another prisoner.

So you reload if anyone escapes.... So why even post this. I know if muck up your camp and try to tetris everyone in to prevent escapes you can get it down to about 10% or so. Zero would be nigh impossible.

But again, since you just reload, why not just mod it so no escape chance?
