Yes it is. You can "recruit" them like a regular human prisoner that you capture with chains and have them at your camp. Be nice to it, make sure it dont escape and after a while it want to join you.

Any way to be nice to it or is it random when you put them next to someone?

I have had a captured Creeper for awhile now with someone that has a chance to recruit people when resting next to them. I'm guessing it just takes awhile.

feed them, cure them, use the barber tool on them and put as many companions as possible around them, literally one square on each side next to them - this will lower their escape chance to 0%.
also put them to work at a camp tool helps.
you can check their satisfaction via the chains symbol in character info.
after a a while (rests in camp! not inns) the question mark pops up and they will join.

Thank you so much. It seems to take a long time for them to want to join. lol
I have always liked enemies that can heal with an attack.

Out of curiosity I had a look on the forums about these guys. I have one in my camp and he's been taking his sweet time being habilitated for the outside world.

Well, I'll keep Larry the Vegetarian Cannibal to his cooking and put him around some molerats until he's ready to be a proper member of the molerat army.

Creepers ... yes, we can recruit them. The "Creepers" of the caves, sands, snows, and they each keep their combat characteristics. They speak and they have a job ...
