Wartales is kind of like a chill version of Mount and Blade for me. No real crazy 'running a kingdom' mechanic. Just you and your group of ass-kickers doing things. The story isn't very deep past the 'you just need to make your way in the world' vibe but the quests it does have aren't horrible.
BG3 is a time and emotional investment. That one is a deep narrative/story dive that will take you 100 hours plus if you plan on seeing everything. It has great voice acting, great music, and is just a fun way to spend your time. It very much mimics the tabletop so it's not everyone's cup of tea.
I will echo what some of the other posters have stated and say wait for the sale and get them both. Give you at least a couple 100 hours of entertainment I would reckon.
The only answers you are going to get to this question are from people who are willing to speak without knowing. You're setting yourself up to be misled. Don't do that. Do your own homework.
the NPC represents the people who do not think for themselves or do not make their own decisions; those who lack introspection or intrapersonal communication.
Both are clothes, but different function in life.
BG from what I have seen is a classic RPG where you take your player character and do the classic 'kill things, get better, unlock new quests, story line, kill more things' RPG adventure. I understand it is deliberately structured to remind players of the tabletop game.
WT is a party management turn based semi-sandbox. Different game.
So... buy both?
I hereby declare you a based ubermensch.
lol, maybe not the "greatest game of all time" but definitely a million times better than BG3 lmao.
