Both games are entertaining to me.
I'd say here right now with the DLC coming out.
Because humor is great in Wartales.
It's not.
Wartales is a buy either way though. The flexibility of the game is great.
The main difference MAYBE; Jagged Alliance has premade characters with actual personalities, while wartales has blank slates who become stronger blank slates with more traits, remaining blank slates.
I feel like you can't go wrong trying wartales but the microstuttering issue might deter you -.-

As far as the DLC, it looks good. New level cap? IMO play DLC and pass on the base game.
i love them both
Id do war tales over JA3 but i also liked both quite a bit.
