Where are the Golden Merchant caravans at?

I need Grey Clusters and they are suppose to be sold at the golden caravan merchants yet I have only seen 1 in like 16 hours of game play so far. Where do they usually spawn in at?

i think its random for me i had two encounters where bandits attacks them and you can help or join the bandits. plus they dont have thier shine unless i talked to them first

If your miner get leveled up enough you start finding them while mining too.

You will even get them before you can use the gears if you mine

Sadly mining was 1 of skills I switch to when need to do it So no one is over apprentice level. I spent the last 70 minutes sitting outside the main village and got 3 Golden caravans to show up. So I at least was able to make 2 weapons and 1 heavy armor.

Mines are all over the map. You can combine visting mines with contracts, e.g. delivering trading goods.
