So the training dummy...
I finally got a training dummy, a little late in the game (my main characters just hit level 11), and I thought I'd stick my lowest level companion, who just hit 10, on the upgraded dummy. Well. Now my main companions are half way, or three quarters of the way, through level 11, and my once lowest-level companion is now sitting at level 13. I forgot I'd stuck them on the training dummy, and thought my game was glitching whenever I'd rest and theyd suddenly have the lvl up prompt. I took them off, stuck another two people on, and realized that between each rest, theyre getting, like, 450xp a piece. THAT's INSANE. a fight gets everyone--like what?--80xp each. meanwhile my companion hitting the wooden stump with a hammer is becoming a god warrior. I have a sudden remorse for the lvling grind I forced myself to love when I could've just been spanking Hank (wooden man)

Just wondering if anyone else thinks the training dummy xp gain is a little high? maybe its for catching up brand new companions? is this just something we silently acknowledge so the developers dont change anything? did I just mess that up? whats your take?

Yes, I think it is useful especially for new companions.
And they might have done this, because, if you played on region locked mode it used to be a terrible grind to keep up with Drombach enemies.

It's perfect as it is.

Check steam forums and count how MANY people still complains that leveling up is sooooo slow in the game, even though it got speed up by a damn lot since release, let's not change anything.
The dummy gives a lot of exp and the higher you are the more you gain because its % based, so yes you can easily get to lv 13 very quickly, and if you have lots of food, you can basically sit there, spend multiple nights to lvl up very quickly everyone in the camp, it's awesome and very useful.

Hovewer, there's one catch: You cannot train in this way any animals, so you must catch new ones (and release those ones, which their level is at least two lower than your team) in order, to keep your animals up to date with your team.
