Hoevendorp mine??

What do i do here? I got a quest item telling me to go to the mine and bring shears.

I can't find shears and I can't craft them. I thought maybe it was just flavor text so I went to the mine anyway. I found a bunch of dead bodies and there seems to be a quest here called "underground massacre" but nothing else happens.

I saw a online article that says you have to follow a blood trail from the mine to a tower but there's no blood trail anywhere to be found. What am i missing here?

Click the pool of blood in the mine near the exit.

The original person the note was for was to bring shears not you....

Thanks. I moved the mouse all around the screen but guess I somehow missed that specific spot. So annoying to hide objectives like that

You are aware you can "highlight" objects by using [alt].

There's even a setting in your options to change the colour of that highlighting to make it stand out more.
Personally I changed that to red, as I found the grey was too hard to spot when facing lighter backgrounds or situations with bad lighting all around, like in caves.

#mindblown why is so much of this game never explained by the dev team..... why put amazing features in a game and not tell anyone or did i somehow miss this info ?

Yeah I am aware actually. The blood does not highlight. MOST of the plot-crucial things in the game don't highlight.

I Changed my highlight to white so i'm pretty sure it would have stood out if that blood stain could be highlighted. It definitely stood out for the bodies and the mineable ore along the walls.

I just wore my mouse pad out trying to catch the hit box on that blood and i couldnt highlight it even after changing the color to neon pink, theres nothing { for me } in that blood stain near the exit as your inside the cave

No, no shears needed. Not sure what the issue is for you. Just scroll the mouse very slowly around the floor near the mine entrance. You should see the cursor turn into "inspect" or "view" or something like that.

If it doesn't work for you, maybe you already got it? If you got it already then once outside the mine you should see a red trail appear, like when you're doing a Tracker Hunt.

I might have gotten it before and just dont recall. There is a blood trail, i hold down " alt " to highlight anything and slowly move the cursor around.
100% user error i just dont know what im doing wrong but thanks for trying to help : }
