how do you retreat?
ive been attacked by guards in the woods while camping and their reinforcements are out of control. how do i retreat?

the guards surrounded the culprits hideout, so noone can escape from gods judgement. this will teach you to not go against the law, wrongdoer.

a quick google tells me retreat was a game mechanic a few months ago. Was it removed or is it just not available against guards?

The retreat button is located in the lower right of the screen. Can't say if it works/is there when trying to retreat against guards, I usually just kill them.
