Probably my only peeve about the game, heh.
Like, fine, pan to current unit location. I love that. It's handy. The rest though, reeeee
When it happens, which isn't 100% of turns, the camera sticks the moment you end a companion's turn and it pans to the next character. From there I have to fight the camera for anywhere between 1 to 5 seconds to get control back.
Nothing in the options appears to have any impact on it, WASD scrolling nor edge scrolling let the camera go, and there is no skill selected so nothing to cancel. It just takes waiting for a few seconds to get it to stop locking the camera, I haven't found any other way to get it to unlock.
It very much does, actually. It is extremely annoying.
'Do it a different way' in response to accessibility and 'features' that are anything but, is a horrible response ;)
Click drag? I've broken enough bones in both hands that using a mouse causes pain and discomfort within a minute, and I use a touchpad left handed since my fingers literally cramp on the right trying to do so right off the bat, and click drag eventually causes pain. Thankfully, being left handed, WASD for camera movement is amazingly simple, and easy, and pain free for me to do. Yet, there is a punishment for doing so due to this 'feature'. This 'feature' needs to go away, or be optional. Frankly, give me a toggle. 'Snap to unit'. Let me choose.
And considering that it even applies to click drag makes it even worse.
Throwing in a free floating camera you control is a GREAT IDEA, and it is amazing. But that it also comes with a caveat of 'When we want to let you, and when we let you we won't actually give you freedom of control unless you fight for it' is, frankly, balls.
